Finish Off Friday #1

I don't mind admitting that I am more than a little bit in love with this blanket. I love the drape of it, the squish of it and the vague reminders of Mondrian paintings.

I am, however, glad not to have to do any more garter stitch for a while. I think I gave myself knitter's shoulder (is there such a thing?) by pushing myself to get it done quickly.

It's the perfect size for a baby blanket, measuring in at 108cm x 70 cm (roughly 42½" x 28") but I'm tempted to knit another 6 squares sometime in the future because it would be fab to snuggle under on the sofa.

The pattern and kits are available on the website now and I'll pull my finger out and try and get the pattern onto Ravelry soon.

Stupid self imposed rules say that I need to finish 2 more things before I can start something new so I'm pushing on with the Rose Motif cardigan from Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer 2011. I'm about to start the intarsia so I've  been procrastinating by recolouring the chart to the colours I'm using. If you squint, it kind of looks like a rose... just get on with it Jill!

Why not pop over to Tami's Amis to see what everyone else has finished this week.

  2. Love the blanket. I am getting ready to start the Garter-Stitch Blanket from EZ with my college bound daughter's new school colors. Love the rose. Glad to see I am not the only one who redoes charts to suit my colors or design changes.
